K J Somaiya Private Industrial Training Institute celebrated the success of its graduating students at the Convocation Ceremony 2025, marking a significant milestone in their journey towards professional excellence and industry readiness.
This year, 77 students graduated across multiple trades, including Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Technician, Welder, Plumber, Solar & CCTV Technician, and Computer Hardware & Networking.
The convocation honoured not only the graduating batches but also the exceptional achievements of students. Institute toppers in the All India Trade Test (AITT) which is a culminating examination which confirms student’s proficiency in their trade included Ishwar Patel (98.66%, Electrician), Sagar Patil (98.50%, Electrician), and Saud Burondkar (97.16%, RACT). Students from the Electrician trade also secured 3rd prize for their Portable Saw Machine project at the District-Level Technical Project Exhibition conducted by DVET earlier this year.
Highlighting its growing reputation, the institute achieved international placement success when 30 students were selected by ESAG, Dubai, during campus placements. Earlier in June, the institute hosted a Job and Apprenticeship Mela with 10 companies participating, resulting in 100% placement for students.
Reinforcing its commitment to industry-relevant skill development, the institute recently launched a Certificate Course in Packaging Machinery Operation and Maintenance (CCPMOM) in collaboration with the Institute of Packaging Machinery Manufacturers of India (IPMMI).
To bridge the industry-academia gap, the K J Somaiya Private Industrial Training Institute handles the annual maintenance contract of Somaiya Vidyavihar , allowing students hands-on training with over 3,000 computers, 1,000 air conditioners, and other equipment like plumbing, electrical, solar, and water coolers.
