The 12th Technical Project Exhibition 2025 brought two days of energy and hands-on innovation to the K J Somaiya Private Industrial Training Institute, Somaiya Vidyavihar, on 20 and 21 November 2025. The event offered students a platform to showcase their technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities through practical, industry-relevant projects.
More than 200 students participated, representing departments including Electrician, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Electronic Mechanic, Welder, Plumber, CCCHN, and CCTV Installation Technician. Their collective efforts resulted in multidisciplinary displays that highlighted both technical knowledge and real-world application.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Sudish Sukumaran, Technical Director, Elmach Packages India Pvt. Ltd. His visit set an enthusiastic tone as he interacted with students and appreciated the innovative thinking behind their work.
A major highlight was the visit of Shri Samir Somaiya, President, Somaiya Vidyavihar. He spent time at each stall, engaging with participants and encouraging them to continue exploring practical solutions through technical education. His appreciation and guidance were a motivating boost for the students.
The exhibition drew a strong response, with over 550 visitors over the two days. Students and faculty from Somaiya institutions formed a major part of the audience, alongside delegations from Gurukul ITI, Kurla ITI, and representatives from Masoom. Many walk-in visitors from Mumbai and nearby areas also attended, reflecting the growing interest in practical, skill-based innovation.
A total of 38 projects were showcased, covering a range of everyday needs and technical improvements. The top three projects that received special recognition were the Kulfi Maker Machine, Shoes Polish Machine, and Automatic Water Controlling System for Water Cooler. These stood out for their creativity, usefulness, and strong execution.
What this exhibition really demonstrated is that skill-based education continues to shape confident, job-ready professionals. The event not only celebrated student talent but also strengthened collaboration between departments, visitors, and industry experts, marking another successful milestone for the institute.
