Somaiya Vidyavihar will host a landmark alumni gathering on 10th January 2026, bringing together generations of Somaiya alumni through two closely connected celebrations—the SAAM 2026 – Somaiya All Alumni Meet and Silver Somaiyans Celebration 2026 . Together, the events reflect the depth, continuity and strength of the Somaiya alumni community.
The day begins with the Silver Somaiyans Celebration 2026, honouring 25 years since graduation of the Batch of 2001. Scheduled from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Smt Sakarben Karamshi Somaiya Sabhagruha (Engineering Auditorium), Vidyavihar, the celebration is dedicated to alumni who completed their academic journey a quarter century ago.
For the Batch of 2001, this milestone is an opportunity to return to campus not just as former students, but as accomplished professionals and individuals shaped by years of experience. The celebration creates space for reflection, reconnection and shared memories—acknowledging how foundations laid at Somaiya have evolved into diverse personal and professional journeys. It also reinforces the idea that the relationship between the institution and its alumni deepens with time, rather than fading with distance.
As the day progresses, the focus widens to include alumni from across batches and institutions with SAAM 2026 – Somaiya All Alumni Meet, taking place from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM at Gargi Plaza, Somaiya Vidyavihar. With the theme A Celebration of Legacy, Leadership and Lifelong Bonds, SAAM 2026 is designed as a vibrant homecoming that brings together the full spectrum of the Somaiya alumni network.
One of the key moments of the evening is the Presidential Address by Shri Samir Somaiya, President, Somaiya Vidyavihar offering reflections on Somaiya’s journey, its evolving vision and the enduring role alumni play in shaping the institution’s future. The programme also includes the felicitation of Distinguished Alum, recognising excellence, leadership and contribution to society—values that lie at the heart of a Somaiya education.
Adding a cultural highlight to the evening is a special performance by Usha Uthup, bringing a sense of nostalgia and celebration to the gathering. Student performances will also feature prominently, offering alumni a glimpse into the vibrant campus culture and the talent of the current student community. Alumni attending SAAM 2026 will also have the opportunity to visit the Somaiya Store, featuring curated merchandise that reflects the institution’s identity and legacy.
