Vanquish 2025 brought a wave of energy, competition and community spirit to K J Somaiya Medical College & Research Centre at the Somaiya Ayurvihar Campus. Held across March and April, the annual sports fest turned the campus into a lively arena where students pushed limits, discovered new strengths and connected beyond classrooms.
The fest featured a wide range of inter- and intra-college sporting events, making it one of the most diverse editions yet. Cricket, football, swimming, athletics, badminton, volleyball, chess, carrom and table tennis drew enthusiastic participation and healthy rivalry. What this really means is that students across batches got the chance to compete, cheer and celebrate excellence in every form.
A standout addition this year was the go-karting event — introduced for the first time and instantly becoming a crowd favourite. It brought a fresh burst of excitement and offered students a unique sporting experience rarely seen at college fests.
Vanquish 2025 wasn’t only about physical competition. The Students’ Council also hosted the Under25 Summit, a session that opened up conversations around personal branding and career building. It gave participants practical insights they could carry into their academic journey and future professions.
Another meaningful highlight was the Vanquish Marathon, organised to raise awareness about the increasing cases of leprosy. Partnering with the NGO Lok Seva Sangam, the marathon brought students together for a purpose larger than sport — giving them a chance to contribute to social impact while promoting health and solidarity.
In the end, Vanquish 2025 stood out because it blended competition with purpose. It celebrated athletic skill, encouraged personal growth and reminded everyone that sports have the power to unite, uplift and build a stronger campus community.
